Medical Device Trainer (Band 7)

Swansea Bay University Health Board’s Medical Devices Training Department is part of the MEMS (Medical Equipment Management Services) and provides a range of training courses and bespoke study days aimed at the safe use of high-risk medical devices.

Categories of equipment include; infusion devices and IV therapy, medical gas safety training, suction units, bedside monitoring as well as bespoke training when new medical devices are rolled out across wards and departments. As well as designing and delivering competency-based training courses, there is a need to manage and attend a number of high-profile groups and committees.This will include representing MEMS at meetings, and chairing and contributing towards the patient safety agenda
