The Head of Clinical Engineering provides leadership and oversight to a health board wide team of technical and scientific staff involved in supporting clinical teams in the management of medical equipment, which includes its commissioning, repair and servicing and decommissioning. The Head of Clinical Engineering also oversees the medical device training function.
