NAMDET team wins AHA award for 2024 !

The NAMDET team that designed and developed the UK-wide ‘Safe use, storage and set up of Medical Gases and Cylinder‘ safety course won this year’s Advancing Healthcare Awards (AHA) in London on 26th April. The team that consists of NAMDET members Paul Lee, Jordan Lee, Robert Matthews, Mary Caddies, Federica Mangione, Sheryle Miller and Eugene Doherty demonstrated great initiative and teamwork working across the NHS boundaries, with regulators and safety departments as well as academia and industry to help develop this free course and training resources from scratch.

The e-learning course was launched via eLfH website in August 2023 and has already seen thousands of staff and colleagues complete this essential safety training and download their free Medical Gas training workbook and safety resource.

The AHA 2024 award for the ‘best collaboration across clinical, academia and industry’, is sponsored by IPEM (Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine) and was presented at the prestigious AHA awards ceremony in Park Lane, London. Many congratulations to the team for their hard work and it was great to see them rewarded this way
